Academics

Building on the foundation established at the Scott County Catholic grade schools, Assumption High School is committed to challenging students while creating life-long learners. Our curriculum provides students with a variety of instructional resources and methods to meet various academic needs and to encourage critical thinking skills, creativity, and ultimately prepare them for life beyond the classroom.

Students are encouraged to meet their highest potential, and Assumption offers Honors classes, AP classes, and college courses on our campus. The majority of the upperclassmen take the ACT, and scores consistently rank above the Iowa and national averages.
