Head Spirit Cheerleading Coach Lisa Arguello Simpson
Coach Simpson graduated from Assumption High School in 1988. She participated in Cheerleading all four years; cheering for football, basketball and wrestling. She received her B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University. Lisa is ACCA Safety Certified and is a member of the Iowa Cheer Coaches Association. She is the Head Spirit Cheerleading Coach for Varsity, Sophomore and Freshmen cheerleading. Her squads cheer at all football, basketball and wrestling events.
Lisa is also the cheerleading coach at All Saints Catholic School and is the Director and Coach for Rising Knights Youth Football Cheerleading. Lisa has been a first grade teacher in the Davenport Community Schools for 17 years. She is also the Chairperson of All Saints Catholic Schools Community Events. Lisa and her husband, Dave, have four children: Gabrielle, Grant, Griffin and Grady who all attend All Saints.
Head Competition Coach Courtney Stowe
Coach Stowe graduated from Assumption High School in 2002. She was a member of Knight Kompany Dancers State Championship teams all four years, and was an AHS Varsity Cheerleader in both Spirit and Competition for three years, also winning state titles each year. Courtney was a member of the Iowa All State Cheerleading team both her junior and senior year. After graduating from AHS, she attended Florida State University where she majored in Exercise Science. While attending FSU, she was a member and eventually the president of the Florida State University Competitive Dance Team. During the summers, she worked for Universal Dance Association (UDA), where she taught dance routines, technique, and judged competitions. Since moving back to Iowa in 2008, she has been coaching the Spirit and Competition Cheer Teams at AHS. In that time the Competition Cheerleading Team has had three members make the All State Cheer team, won two state titles in the 3A division and one in the 4A division, and has had two stunt groups win the state title. In 2009, the competition team placed 11th at the National Championships in Orlando, FL. Courtney is Iowa Cheer Coaches Association (ICCA) certified. In 2012, she started the Knight All Stars, a cheer team for the 5-8 graders from Lourdes, St. Paul’s, JFK and All Saints. They will be performing at Assumption events and competing around the region.

April 1st and 8th in the small gym
Informational meeting 6pm:
Monday April 15th in the cafeteria
Tryout clinic 5-7:
Wednesday April 17th in the small gym
Tryouts 9-12:
Saturday April 20th in the small gym
These tryouts are for 8th graders through Juniors who are interested in competitive cheerleading. Students who are attending AHS in the 2013-2014 school year are welcome to try out! If you have any questions please email AHSCheerleading@mail.com.
