Our mission, as a Catholic educational community, is to
prepare students academically, spiritually, and morally for the
opportunities and responsibilities of the future.
Assumption High School is a Catholic high school located in Davenport, Iowa. AHS’s history is steeped in tradition, with a record of academic excellence and educational opportunity.
In 1958, AHS opened its doors as a co-institutional facility, with the merger of St. Ambrose Academy and Immaculate Conception Academy.
AHS became coeducational 1n 1969, continuing a tradition of quality.
From the beginning, AHS’s Catholic identity has given it a special spirit. Each day begins with prayer, with the knowledge that all is done for the “Glory of God.” AHS has been faithful to this vision that makes it unique in the community.
