Assistant Principal/Dean of Students
Mr. Eric Ries is in his first year at Assumption High School as the Assistant Principal / Dean of Students. Prior to coming to Assumption, Eric was the Activities Director at South Tama County for 4 years and taught and coached several sports at Somonauk High School in Illinois for 3 years. He and his wife Sarah have 3 daughters including Kayla (3) and twins Hallie and Jenna (2). All three girls attend Villa Maria Childcare on the Assumption campus.

Spiritual Director
Dan is in his 6th year as a teacher and spiritual director at AHS. He is a 1984 graduate of AHS and has fifteen years of business experience. He also served in youth and young adult ministry for Sacred Heart for fifteen years. Dan and his wife, Rachel (AHS ‘86), have two daughters and are members of Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish.

Principal
Mr. Chuck Elbert is in his 2nd year as Principal of Assumption High School. This is his 25th year in education and his 17th year as an administrator. He began his career teaching science and coaching at Walhert Catholic High in Dubuque, then after a 9 year stint in public schools, has been an administrator at Saint Edmond Catholic for 10 years.

Mr. Andrew Craig '95 is in his 5th year at Assumption and in his 2ndt year in the role of President. He and his wife, Ann, a 1996 grad, have three children, Adriana, Drew, and Tony.

Director of Admissions
A 2004 graduate of AHS, Miss Emily Faulhaber is in her 2nd year as Director of Admissions. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2008 with a double major in Spanish and Communication Studies. Emily also serves as the advisor for Student Ambassadors at AHS.

Athletic Director
Mr. Wade King is in his 20th year at Assumption High School having served as a teacher, coach, Dean of Students and now as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. This is Wade’s 22nd year as an educator. Wade and his wife, Angie, have three daughters, one at Assumption and two who attend John F. Kennedy Catholic School.
