BOYS STATE: American Legion Hawkeye Boys State is a six-day course in government which will be held on June 23-28, 2024 at Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa. Participants (junior boys) will learn about the functioning of city, county and state government in the State of Iowa. The knowledge young men gain will be by actual experience, as the American Legion Hawkeye Boys State is a total “hands-on” program. Delegates will hold party caucus meetings, conventions, conduct campaigns, and hold a primary and general election.
