FRESHMAN APPLICATION PROCESS
Application for Admission: Complete the Assumption High School Application for Admission online at apply.assumptionhigh.org. Applications can be submitted online beginning January 1, 2018.
Application Fee: Pay the $50 Application Fee (discounted fee through February 16, 2018). Online applications submitted after February 16th are certainly welcome with the standard fee of $75. The fee can be paid online, turned in at the 8th grade parent/student meeting on January 17th from 6:30-7:30 PM in the AHS auditorium, mailed to: Assumption High School, ATTN: Admissions, 1020 W. Central Park Ave., Davenport, IA 52804, OR dropped off at the AHS front office. A student’s application cannot be processed until the application fee is received.
Course Selection: Upon receipt of a student’s completed application and application fee, an email will be sent to the parent(s)/legal guardian(s) containing JMC login credentials and information on how to select freshmen courses online. Please view the enclosed Course Selection materials for more details. Course selections received by March 15th will qualify for guaranteed preferred course scheduling. Health Forms: Freshmen will be required to submit the following health forms at Registration in August:
- Certificate of Dental Screening
- Heads Up Concussion Form (only required if participating in athletics)
- Athletic Physical Form (only required if participating in athletics)
The Admissions Department will be in ongoing contact with registered students about a few events throughout the spring/summer: 8th Grade Dance, Fresh Start Picnic, Registration, and Freshmen Orientation.

Any student interested in transferring to Assumption High School should contact the Admissions Office at (563)326-5313 ext. 230 to schedule an appointment to meet with the Director of Admissions .
Application for Admission and Transcripts: Complete the Assumption High School Application for Admission online at apply.assumptionhigh.org. Please also scan and email a copy of the student’s transcripts to AHS Director of Admissions, Kris Thomas, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Transfer students will be required to:
- Complete the online Application for Admission.
- Provide official transcripts.
- Meet with Student Services to review transcripts and solidify course selections.
- Pay a $75 Application Fee.
Transfer students may be accepted, accepted with conditions or denied admission. Any student transferring from within the area wishing to participate in Varsity athletics will be ineligible to compete for (90) consecutive school days. The period of ineligibility applies ONLY to varsity level contests and competitions.
Assumption High School works with placement agencies approved by the Diocese of Davenport. International students interested in attending Assumption High School should contact the Admissions Office at (563)326-5313 ext. 230 to meet with the Director of Admissions.
International students will be required to:
- Complete the Assumption online Application for Admission.
- Provide a copy of the Agency Application Materials (inclusive of ELTiS score and transcripts).
- Pay a $150 non-refundable Application Fee.
- Conduct an interview via Skype or QQ with members of AHS Administration to ensure student’s English proficiency is acceptable.
Any student that is accepted into Assumption High School will be provided an official Acceptance Letter. The student is then required to proceed with completing the Diocese of Davenport’s Application Requirements.
Annual tuition for international students must be paid in full prior to attendance.
