Iowa Association of Building Officials

Iowa Association of Building Officials (IABO) is the Iowa Chapter of the International Code Council (ICC).

IABO members include:
• Building Officials •Developers • Building Inspectors •Architects • Private Inspectors •Engineers

These professionals want to promote their safety and awareness objectives and the IABO association through awarding two annual scholarships to deserving college students.

Tan Son Nhut Association Scholarship 2021

The Tan Son Nhut Association is accepting applications for the school year beginning in the Fall of 2021 for a $5,000 scholarship from high school seniors.

The student must be a direct descendant of one who served in Vietnam for any period from January 1, 1959, to April 30, 1975.

Service may be either with the Armed Forces of the United States or the Republic of Vietnam or as a civilian at Tan Son Nhut Air Base either as an American or Vietnamese citizen.

Seniors – St. Paul the Apostle Future Fund

St. Paul the Apostle Future Fund is offering a scholarship for a graduating senior who attended SPS, and who is planning to attend a college or university.  You must include a typewritten essay entitled “What My Catholic Education Has Meant to Me” (maximum 1,000 words).  The Selection Committee will review all applications and essays.  The scholarship is not renewable.  All applications must be received at SPS by Friday, April 9, 2021.  No late applications will be accepted.

Light the Spark Scholarship

MindFire Communications announced the Light the Spark Scholarship program for high school seniors in Rock Island and Scott counties who want to pursue a career in a creative field such as graphic design, copy writing, public relations, marketing and/or brand development.

Quad City Morning Optimist Scholarship

The QC Morning Optimist Club offers up to $4000 in scholarships to high school seniors. The Scholarship Committee will determine the number and value of scholarships offered based on the qualities exemplify by the applicants. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the college or university. The applications are considered on the basis of financial need, work ethic, and community service.

Last Day Scholarship

The Last-Dollar Scholarship covers tuition for post secondary credentials up to two-year degrees leading to rewarding high-demand jobs. Attached are two fliers – one directed at seniors and the other at parents, teachers and other adults in their lives.
