Scholarship Opportunities

The Quad City and Engineering Science Council (QCESC) Scholarship Program was established and is administered by the Council. This program provides multiple one-time grants or scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 each. Must plan to pursue a STEM-related degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) at an accredited four-year college or university, earn an associate degree at a community or junior college, or complete a skilled trades certification.

Lois E. Kindel, Iowa State Elks Association Scholarship Chair | Davenport Elks Lodge #298 | Davenport, IA 

Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.

Eligibility:

• • Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
  • High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
  • Scholarships are available only to students who enroll in four-year undergraduate degree programs at accredited U.S. American colleges or universities.

The 2027 application deadline is November 12, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., Pacific Time.

Awards:

• • The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships.
  • Male and female students compete separately.
  • Ranging from $1,000 per year to $7,500 per year, Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university.

The O’Brien-Vrba Scholarship Trust provides renewable scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students who attended high school or currently reside in rural communities in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, or Wisconsin.  Special consideration is given to applicants who are of the Catholic faith, attend a Catholic institution, and/or are actively involved with the Newman Center at their college or university.  Students from eligible rural communities are strongly encouraged to apply for this valuable opportunity. Deadline April 8, 2026 3PM CST.

To qualify for the Balanced Man Scholarship, incoming students should submit an online application and enroll full-time at any of these institutions for the fall 2026 term (no essay required). Final deadlines vary by school, but the early application deadline for most scholarships is June 1st. Applicants have no obligation to affiliate with or join SigEp to be eligible. This resource is intended to assist with college affordability while introducing students to campus life opportunities.

The Center for Belgian Culture of the Quad Cities scholarship is a fund available for high school seniors. The purpose of the award is to encourage students of fine character, personality and ability to persist in achieving their educational goals. This fund may be used for college tuition and/or expenses. The award is $1,000 and may be awarded to three individuals.
