H.S. Student Job Opening – Cardiovascular Medicine

Cardiovascular Medicine, P.C. is seeking part-time support (approximately 15-25 hours/week) in the Informatics department. This position will perform a variety of duties including numbering medical records, scanning and indexing medical records, deleting duplicate medical records, filing/pulling device charts, sorting and distributing mail and faxes, photocopying records to distribute to the appropriate staff, and other projects as needed. Positions at HDC are open just for high school students, they are flexible and have summer positions available as well. They will be holding an open interview day coming up in May and those dates and times will be sent out very soon.

Direct Support Professional (High School Students):  Part time positions to assist individuals with disabilities in group homes, apartments, and family home settings with activities in daily living, including personal care and accompanying out to community events. Hours begin after school and end as late as 9 pm and include 1st and 2nd shift weekend hours.

RESIDENT ASSISTANT: Part time position available to high school students. This position assists with teaching independent living skills to youth and adults with disabilities in a relaxed, residential setting. Position will provide personal care to individuals. Will be required to have the ability to lift 50 lbs. Hours begin after school and end as late as 9 pm and include 1st and 2nd shift weekend hours. Position is required to work a minimum of one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) every other week. No C.N.A. required.

Summer Job Opportunity – Athletics

Davenport Public Library Summer Intern Opportunity

The Davenport Public Library is excited to announce that we received the YALSA/Dollar General Summer Teen Intern Grant and will be offering to paid internships to local teens in Summer 2018!

These positions will be open to teens ages 16-19 and will offer a stipend of $500 for 50 hours of work. The two positions are a Social Media Intern and a Creative Literacy Intern and we are looking for teens who are confident in their creativity and online savviness.

After students submit their application, they will receive an email from the Library’s Human Resources Director with additional instructions. Social Media Intern applicants will be asked to submit some examples of social media posts that celebrate reading while Creative Literacy Intern applicants will be asked to create a plan for a bulletin board design that promotes reading in the summer. We ask Creative Literacy Interns to think outside of the box and all artistic expression is welcome (for example, those skilled in drawing or design might create a cool visual while a Poet might compose a poem or a dancer might somehow explore dance instruction, etc.)
