Service Hours Opportunity – JFK – Saturday, September 15th
JFK is in need of volunteers to help set up tents for their parish picnic on Saturday, September 15h. If you can help, please be at JFK at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Christ Our Life Conference – September 29 & 30, 2018 – Des Moines
Please find attached a flyer regarding the Christ Our Life Conference in Des Moines on September 29th & 30th. This is a conference for adults and youth.
Service Hour Opportunity – September 5th – 3:00- 6:00 PM
River Bend Food Bank has their September distribution this Wednesday, September 5th from 3:00pm-6:00pm, and are actually in great need of additional help. They need about 40 more volunteers. If any of students might be interested they would love to have them come to help. They need help setting up, distributing food, assisting guests and cleaning up afterwards. If any of students are interested in helping, please sign up to volunteer online! The next big distributions are October 3rd and November 7th. You can also check out other volunteer opportunities on:

Summer High School Challenge Blood Drive – Monday, July 16, 2018
High School Challenge Blood Drive:
Monday, July 16th, 2018 [10:00am to 7:00pm]
Northpark Mall- Davenport, IA
Southpark Mall- Moline, IL
This drive is a super fun event, but it is also vital to ensuring we can provide blood products to patients in need. During the summer months donations drop 20%, while hospital demand for blood remains constant. Anyone wishing to help out in this challenge drive, please remember to stop by Northpark or Southpark Mall on Monday, July 16th between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Donating blood will also count towards your service hours!

AHS Students Attend Project Andrew Dinner to Support Vocations
Assumption Chaplain, Fr. Jake Greiner, accompanied 4 AHS students on Thursday, May 3, to the Project Andrew Dinner in Iowa City. Students were able to meet and converse with Bishop Zinkula and even had the opportunity to have their picture taken at the event.
