On May 3rd, the Assumption Choir performed at the IHSMA Large Group Festival at Central H.S. in DeWitt, and earned a Division I (Superior) rating from the panel of three adjudicators. This is the choir’s 9th Division I rating in the last 11 years. Congratulations to the singers on their performance and hard work!

Vocalists see success at IHSMA Solo/Small Ensemble Festival
On March 23rd 22 members of the Assumption Choir participated in the IHSMA Solo/Small Ensemble Festival at Central DeWitt HS. The day was very successful with 6 soloists earning a Division I rating, 3 soloists and a small choir earning a Division II rating, and one soloist earning Division III rating. Congratulations, choir!
All tickets will be sold (via cash or check) at the door prior to performances. Sales will begin an hour before showtime for family of cast and crew members
and will open for general admission 45 minutes prior to the start of each show. Seating will be first-come-first-served.
Join the Assumption Choir this Saturday, January 27 as they serve as guest artists for a concert with the renowned Luther College Nordic Choir. The concert will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2136 Brady St., Davenport, and will begin at 7:30 pm. There is an admission charge of $20 for adults and $10 for students, and tickets can be purchased at the door.
Musical Director, John Resnick, will be holding tryouts for our spring musical Mary Poppins on Tuesday, December 19 at 12:15pm in the Choir room.
The Assumption Choir will be performing at the Festival of Trees this Tuesday, Nov. 21st at 3:00 in the Davenport River Center. Please come and support these talented students and Quad City Arts!
Congratulations to Katelyn O’Brien ’25 (Choir), Tristen Gray ’25 (Choir), and AJ Barry ’24 (Band) for their selection to the IHSMA All-State Music Festival. Additionally, Jackson Drumm ‘27 was selected to the 9th Grade ICDA OPUS Honor Choir. Both events are taking place this weekend on the campus of Iowa State University. The All-State Festival Concert will be recorded by Iowa Public Television and will air on Thanksgiving day. Check your local listing on the Iowa Public Television website for specific schedules and additional information.
