Please Consider Hosting Team Members For Our Upcoming Retreats!

We are currently looking for families to host members of a retreat team that is coming in from New York in April. There are 8 team members that will need lodging and transportation from Monday afternoon on April 17th– until Friday, April 21st .  In the past, we’ve looked for host families to accommodate two (or more) team members each night for the duration of their stay. I need families willing to host two or three male members of the Hard as Nails Evangelical Team:

Monday, April 17th (pick up at AHS at 3:00) in the teachers parking lot- provide them dinner and lodging.

Tuesday, April 18th (drop off team members at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 7:30 AM- Mrs. Imborek will meet there and get them ready for the day- we provide breakfast and lunch) and pick up members at 3:00 from Cathedral*, provide dinner and lodging. *Mrs. Imborek can drive team members to your home on Tuesday after the retreat.

Wednesday, April 19th (drop off team members at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 7:30 AM- Mrs. Imborek will meet there and get them ready for the day- we provide breakfast and lunch) and pick up members at 3:00 from Cathedral*, provide dinner and lodging. *Mrs. Imborek can drive team members to your home on Wednesday after the retreat.

Thursday, April 20th (drop off team members at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 7:30 AM- Mrs. Imborek will meet there and get them ready for the day- we provide breakfast and lunch) and pick up members at 3:00 from Cathedral*, provide dinner and lodging. *Mrs. Imborek can drive team members to your home on Thursday after the retreat.

Friday, April 21st (drop off team members at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 7:30 AM- Mrs. Imborek will meet there and get them ready for the day- we provide breakfast and lunch). Team members will be heading home this afternoon.

Class Retreats – Parent/Treats Sign Up!

We are looking for donations of fruit and plateable desserts (homemade items are a real treat!), for the upcoming Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Retreats.  Donations can be dropped off in the AHS Front Office anytime between 7:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., or the morning of the retreats. Please label for which retreat you are bringing for (ie “Senior Retreat”). If you have a container you would like returned, please remember to label it. If you know what you plan to bring, please put that in the notes on the sign-up. Thank you so much for your support of our AHS community! April Knight Gift Gathering Success – Freshman

    • Freshmen Class Gift Gathering
    • The Freshmen Class Gift Gathering party was held at the downtown Mississippi River Distilling Company on October 22nd. Heartfelt thanks to current parents Ryan & Monica Burchett for donating the venue, Mississippi River Distilling Company and reserving half of the bar for the party!
    • Special shout out to the organizers of Freshmen Class Gift Gathering party: Shannon Elliott, Katy D’Aprile, Rebecca Curoe, Bridget Robbins, Meghan Cornish, and Tracy Diaz.
    • Thanks to the support of the 32 host families, and the freshmen parents who attended, the Freshmen Class Gift Gathering raised $3680.

April Knight Gift Gathering Success – Junior’s

  • Junior Class Gift Gathering
    • The Junior Class Gift Gathering was held at Jersey Grille on October 28th. Huge thanks to Jersey Grille owners Pat Doyle ’79 and his wife Kelli and Pat Kilfoy ’79 for donating the venue and reserving half of the bar for the party!
    • Special shout out to the organizers of the Junior Class Gift Gathering party: Samantha Pauwels, Julie Kettmann, Tina DeVries, Heather McIntyre, Amy Tallman and Mary Thompson.
    • Thanks to the 19 host families, and the junior parents who attended, the Junior Class Gift Gathering raised $2475.

April Knight Gift Gathering Success – Senior

    • Senior Class Gift Gathering
      • The Senior Class Gift Gathering party was held at Cru on October 21st. Sincere thanks to Jacob Moylan’03 and his wife Sydney and Carl and Aimee (Moylan) ’04 Knutsen who donated the fabulous venue and closed it to the public for 4 hours all for the party!
      • Special shout out to the organizers of the Senior Class Gift Gathering party: Ann Gassen, Christina Kreinbring, and Sara Sieren.
      • Thanks to the 29 host families, and the many senior parents who attended, the Senior Class Gift Gathering raised $3573.00.

  • Sophomore Class Gift Gathering
    • The Sophomore Class Gift Gathering party was held at the downtown Barrel House on October 29th. Thanks to Barrel House for donating the venue and reserving half of the bar for the party!
    • Special shout out to the organizers of the Sophomore Class Gift Gathering party: Donica Mokosak, Jenny Grobstich, Amy Weiman, and Sue O’Brien.
    • Thanks to the support of the 13 host families, and the sophomore parents who attended, the Sophomore Class Gift Gathering raised $1475.
