Future Club Scholarship for St. Paul the Apostle Students

St. Paul the Apostle Future Club is offering a scholarship for a graduating senior who attended St. Paul the Apostle School, and who is planning to attend a college or university.  You must include a typewritten essay entitled “What My Catholic Education Has Meant to Me” (maximum 1,000 words).  The Selection Committee will review all applications and essays.  The scholarship is not renewable.  All applications must be received at SPS by Monday, March 31.  No late applications will be accepted.

LULAC Council 10 Scholarship

This scholarship is open to incoming college freshmen and current college students, as well as students pursuing careers in the industrial/technical trades. Applicants must reside within a 50-mile radius of the LULAC Center  (4224 Ricker Hill Rd., Davenport), demonstrate community involvement, and participate in extracurricular activities. Grades, response to the essay prompt and financial need are also considered when deciding the scholarship recipients.

IAAI – Iowa Scholarship

Each year, the Iowa Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) awards two one-time scholarships in the amount of $1,000. Each scholarship is disbursed in two installments: $500 for the fall semester and $500 for the spring semester. Award checks are made payable jointly to the recipient and the educational institution.

Applicants must be Iowa residents and must be accepted to or currently enrolled, either online or in residence, at a nationally or regionally accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school. Applicants must be pursuing a course of study leading to a career in one of the following fields:

  • Fire Service
  • Fire Science
  • Law Enforcement
  • Law
  • Fire Protection Engineering
  • Fire Protection Technology
  • Insurance

Previous scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 37th class in 2025, the Foundation has provided over 7,000 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $87 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.

American Legion – Harvey W. Klindt Scholarship

Requirements:

  1. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need and such personal qualities as Patriotism, Character and Leadership abilities as demonstrated in school and community activities.
  2. Applicants must be sons, grandson, daughters or granddaughters of Veterans. In the event of a tie, preference is given to children and grandchildren of Post 26 American Legion members.
  3. This scholarship is a one-time grant, for graduating seniors in high school only.
  4. The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to limit awards to qualified students. There is no automatic grant to graduates of a particular school (public, private or homeschool.) Applicants shall be a resident of the City of Davenport and graduate from a school within the city limits; however, Davenport Post 26 Members having a child or grandchild graduating from a Scott County school are also eligible.
  5. Students may apply any funds granted to any institution of higher learning of their choice.
  6. Applications must be completed and returned to your high school counselor or sent to Davenport Post 26 American Legion at 702 W. 35th Street, Davenport, Iowa 52806 on or before April 15th of the current year.
