We had some Assumption students wrangle up some items and help load and deliver them today to the Iowa Building at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds Iowa Building for the All Saints Gala – Boots, Chaps and Cowboy Hats Gala being held Saturday, February 23rd.

This scholarship is for any female senior in high school female entering college or junior college as a freshman. The student must be a resident of Scott County.

Many thanks to the 20 members of the Assumption Choir who braved the weather to sing at the Red Dinner Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral on February 7th. They sang beautifully, and it was an honor to sing for Bishop Thomas Zinkula, Bishop Emertitus Martin Amos, Bishop Richard Pates of Des Moines, and Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York.
Congratulations to the Assumption jazz choir, Knight Notation! On February 4th they attended the IHSMA State Jazz Choir Festival at North Scott H. S. in Eldridge and earned a Division 1 rating from all three judges. On February 15th they will participate in the Solon Vocal Jazz Festival at Solon H. S. in Solon, IA. The members include Nathan Seutter ’19, Madeline Murphy ’21, Abby Schauer ’19, Jon Herrington ’19, Kelly Anzola ’19, and Melanie Comer ’19.
Congratulations Melanie Comer and Allison Smith on their selection and participation in the 2019 Meistersinger Honor Choir at Wartburg College. They spent two days rehearsing, listening to choral performances, and singing in a concert. School is cancelled today due to weather. Parent/Teacher Conferences are also cancelled for tonight.
We have several lost items in the Front Office. We have school approved clothing, jewelry, glasses , sweatshirts and coats that have been left in classrooms, restrooms and the locker rooms. If your student is missing something, please have them stop by the Front Office and see if any of it belongs to them.
