This scholarship is available for Assumption student’s entering their freshmen year of college in the fall of 2024 at an accredited post-secondary educational institution, who show active volunteer efforts within the Quad Cities community.

Catherine McAuley Scholarship – Mount Mercy University
This scholarship provides free tuition to Iowa students whose family income is $50,000 or less annually. These scholarships match tuition increases and are renewable for up to four years.

Service Hours Opportunity – Girl Scouts – October 24th
The Girls Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois are looking for student volunteers to help out at an event coming up on October 24th.
Safety is their number one priority for this event for all event volunteers, staff and participants and they will be following all safety guidelines to ensure a fun and safe event. Everyone will be wearing masks, social distancing, and there will be sanitation stations.

Time: 10:00a.m. – 2:00p.m.
They are looking for student volunteers to help out at the different activity areas that they will have around camp. Areas might include, caramel apple bar, concessions, check in/registration table, activity field and games. To be eligible for the Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program, applicants must be enrolled in a 2 year or less career or technical degree/certificate program in the fall and demonstrate financial need.

JFK Home & School is looking for student volunteers for their Fall Festival scheduled for Friday, October 25th. They need help with games, but are also looking for a few face painters.
