The Knight Notation Jazz Choir participated in the Solon Vocal Jazz Festival in Solon, Iowa on February 15th. The ensemble peformed well and received a score that was 35 points higher than last year’s score. Congratulations, Knight Notation! Ensemble members include: Nathan Seutter ‘19, Madeline Murphy ’21, Kelly Anzola ’19, Abby Schauer ’19, Jon Herrington ’19, and Melanie Comer ’19.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, February 7th in the Cafeteria from 3:30-7:00 PM. Parents can come to the Café during that time to meet with their students’ teachers. No appointment is necessary, as conferences are held on a drop-in basis. Individual meetings will be conducted every 5 minutes, as indicated by the bell system in the Café. Parents anticipating the need for more extensive communication with a particular instructor are encouraged to contact the teacher directly to set up an appointment outside of conferences.
There will be no evening or afternoon Honor Choir Performances.
ALL ARE WELCOME! Please join us this Sunday, January 27, 2019, in the Assumption High School Cafeteria 4 – 7 p.m. for the annual Senior Spaghetti Supper! Your attendance and support are greatly appreciated. This event is our special gift to the Assumption Community.
The meal includes salad, spaghetti, bread, drink, and dessert. Meals are complimentary, and Rev. Louis Colonnese’s sauce recipe (used at the first AHS Spaghetti Supper in 1960) is the secret! Take-out orders will be packaged upon request. Please help the Assumption Class of 2019 in this service effort. The class is attempting to raise funds to give a gift back to the school upon graduation. Donations will be accepted at the door.

We are looking for donations of desserts for the Junior Retreat on Friday, February 1st. We are asking for Junior parent volunteers. Dessert donations can be dropped off in the AHS Front Office any time on Thursday, January 31st and Friday morning (before 10:00 a.m. on Friday). If you have a container you would like returned, please remember to label it. If you know what you plan to bring, please put that in the notes on the sign-up.
