Service Hours Available – St. Paul’s 5th Annual Trunk or Treat – October 23rd
St. Paul Home & School is looking for student volunteers for the Trunk or Treat scheduled for Wednesday, October 23rd. Help is needed during the event, as well as with the set up and the clean up. Service Hours Available – JFK Bazaar – October 31, November 1, 2 & 3
Our Lady of Victory is looking for students to help set up for the Bazaar on Thursday night, October 31st starting at 6 pm. and Friday, November 1st after school. They could also use help on Saturday and Sunday, November 2nd and 3rd during the Bazaar. The hours are 8-10, 10-12, 12-2, and 2-4 on Saturday and 9-1pm on Sunday.

Please congratulate Maddy Wagner. Maddy wrote an opinion piece for the Quad City Times while in Ms. McNamara’s class that was published on Tuesday, October 15. The letter, linked below, outlines many of the reasons a person might choose a community college experience.
This morning, the President of Scott Community College, Lyn Cochrane, came to Assumption to thank Maddy for her letter and brought her donuts. Thanks to Maddy for positively representing Assumption and advocating for community college!

Homecoming Powder Puff Football Game -Time and Location Change
Due to the weather, the Homecoming Powder Puff game location and time has moved. It will now take place in the large gym at 5:30 p.m. It will be junior girls vs. senior girls.

Monthly Teacher Treats – September 24 – Senior Parents
It’s time again to show our love and support for the fabulous faculty and staff at AHS! Knight Network is providing teacher treats on Tuesday, September 24th. We are asking for Senior parent volunteers. Food donations can be dropped off in the AHS Front Office any time Tuesday morning after 7:00 a.m. If you have a container you would like returned, please remember to label it. AHS Choir – Lourdes Festival – September 21
Assumption Choir Members to sing at Lourdes’ Fall Festival –
11 members of the Assumption Choir will be helping to entertain participants of Our Lady of Lourdes’ Fall Festival on this Saturday, September 21st. The students will be singing at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. Come support these students and the members of Our Lady of Lourdes in Bettendorf!
