The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center would like to thank the donors of Assumption High School for our recent Blood Drive. Our group provided 43 donations for local hospitals served by MVRBC. Because each whole blood donation can be processed into multiple blood components, our blood drive provided up to 172 products for patients in need.
The MVRBC is very appreciative to all involved with the Blood Drive.

Assumption Chaplain, Fr. Jake Greiner, accompanied 4 AHS students on Thursday, May 3, to the Project Andrew Dinner in Iowa City. Students were able to meet and converse with Bishop Zinkula and even had the opportunity to have their picture taken at the event.
On Friday, April 27, we were blessed to share Mass as a school community. Students welcomed Grandparents and guests to this special annual opportunity in the Assumption auditorium. Families of seniors had the option to submit photos of their students with his/her grandparents. Please enjoy the attached slideshow that was shared before and after the Mass.
Yesterday was the first of our Senior Cap and Gown visits to the Catholic grade schools. Below is a picture from the Lourdes visit.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Knight Network will provide lunch for our faculty and staff on Wednesday, May 9th. We are asking help from Freshman and Sophomore parents for this event. Knight Network funds will be used to purchase sandwiches, and we are asking for supplementary donations. Water and treats can be dropped off in the Assumption Front Office by 10:00 a.m. Wednesday or any time Tuesday between 7:30 and 3:30. Thanks so much for your help and support of our hard-working school employees through the Knight Network parent organization!
Each year the Assumption HS parents host a Post Prom party for all junior and senior students. It is a fun, substance free evening which allows students to continue their prom celebration in a supervised environment.
By signing up below you will be assisting in making this a memorable event for the students. Some gift cards will be used to purchase food items that evening as stated on the form and the rest will be used for prizes. Cards must be dropped off at the office by 4:00 PM Friday, May 4. Food items can be dropped off Friday, May 11 at the gym between 3:00-6:00 PM or Saturday, May 12 between 9:00-11:30 AM, prior to the start of the event.
