Share the Good News of Catholic Education at Assumption High School!

If you haven’t already, check out our recent Admissions Video! As is typical for spring, we have had a number of potential families inquiring and touring Assumption, and we are excited for the coming school year. Our current families are the best source for sharing information about AHS. If you know of anyone interested in learning more about Assumption, please share the link to our admissions video and encourage them to reach out to our Director of Admissions, Stephanie Schroeder, at stephanie.schroeder@assumptionhigh.org.  Now is the time to get the word out as students are actively selecting classes for next school year, and our administration and staff are already preparing for the needs of the coming year.  As members of the Assumption family, it is important that we are all active sharers of the exciting and important message of Catholic education for students and families!

AHS Faculty and Staff Thank You!

We would like to extend a thank you to those who have contributed to the success of all events through the Knight Network organization at Assumption High School through donations, time, and prayers. We are truly blessed and thankful to be a part of such a great community grounded upon faith!

Prom and Post Prom Info! – May 6-7, 2023

Please see the letter below that was emailed to AHS Junior’s and Senior’s regarding Prom and Post Prom information.

Good Morning, Ladies and Gentlemen, Upperclassmen of Assumption High School!

The Assumption Prom 2023 is quickly approaching!  This year’s function will be held Saturday, May 6th, at Rhythm City Casino.

  • Promenade Instructions Promenade begins at 6:00 p.m. at Rhythm City Casino in the Quads rooms.  Students wishing to participate may line up beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Seating will be available for parents, family, and friends who wish to attend Promenade.

  • Pre-Prom Mass In an effort to make fulfilling the Sunday Mass obligation easier for students with the timing of the scheduled events, Mass (for students and chaperones only) will be celebrated immediately following the Promenade. We are fortunate to have Fr. Andrew Rauenbuehler, Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Victory, presiding as we embrace the opportunity to celebrate Mass together on this special evening.

  • Dance and Dismissal Immediately following the Pre-Prom Mass, sign-in will open for seating in the Davenport room.  Students must be signed in on site no later than 7:00 p.m.  Prom will include dinner and dancing until 11:00 p.m.  Students may not leave the dance earlier than 10:30 p.m. All clothing, dancing, and behavior must remain appropriate.  Prom is an extension of the academic setting, and high expectations will be maintained.

  • Post Prom

For accountability purposes, all students who attend Prom are expected to attend Post Prom at Assumption.  Written parental permission to be excused from Post Prom (in full or in part) may be submitted to the school office by Thursday, May 4th. If this written permission is not on file at school, and a student who attended Prom does not show up to Post Prom, a parent/guardian will be called. Post Prom will open at 11:00 p.m. All junior and senior students, regardless of whether or not they attended the dance, are invited and encouraged to attend Post Prom.  There is no cost to attend Post Prom. Students must arrive at Post Prom no later than 11:30 p.m. Students will be able to use locker room facilities at Assumption to change clothes after the dance, if needed. Students may not leave Post Prom (without prior written permission) until its completion at approximately 2:30 a.m.  Mentalist, Chris Carter will be the entertainment for the evening, so do not miss this opportunity to watch his show.

If you would like to bring a guest from another school, please stop in the front office for the proper dance guest permission form.  Please choose your attire with a standard of modesty in mind.  Any students who need assistance with acquiring appropriate attire or with purchasing a ticket should see Mrs. Murphy or Mr. Frieden, as there are means in place to make sure that financial barriers do not prevent any student from attending this fun event.  Student Council members will be selling tickets during lunches until FRIDAY, APRIL 28TH for $40 per person in order to provide an attendance count to the venue, while allowing everyone the opportunity to attend.

Please join in making this event an awesome time for Assumption students!

Enjoy making memories,

Mr. Frieden

Director of Student Success

Post Prom – Please Sign Up to Help or Make a Donation! – 2023

Each year the Assumption HS parents host a Post Prom party for all junior and senior students. It is a fun, substance free evening which allows students to continue their Prom celebration in a supervised environment. Post Prom will be held in the AHS gym from 11:00 PM to approximately 2:30 AM on May 6-7.

By signing up you will be assisting in making this a memorable event for the students. Some gift cards will be used to purchase food items that evening, and the rest will be used for prizes. Cards can be brought to the front office anytime during office hours beginning Monday, April 3. Food items can be dropped off Friday, May 5th, either in the Front Office between 7:30am and 3:00pm or during set-up Friday night between 5:00 and 6:00 pm in the large gym. We request that all food donations be received by no later than 6pm on Friday May 5th.

Volunteer workers are needed to run the games, deal the cards, and serve the food.  Volunteers should plan to arrive by 10:30 PM.  Doors open at 10:30 PM and clean up ends around 1:30 AM.  Volunteers are welcome to stay for the entertainment with hypnotist, Chris Carter, which will begin at 1:00 AM.  If you are not into the late-night thing but would like to volunteer, we will need help with set up on Friday evening at 5:00 PM (meet in the AHS big gym).  If you have any questions about the evening or want to volunteer and the slots are full, please contact Donica Mokosak at donica.mokosak@assumptionhigh.org

If you have any questions about the evening, please contact Donica.mokosak@assumptionhigh.org or 563-326-5313 x200. Thank you!
