In addition, their parents or guardians and current college students may enter. Winners receive deposits into ISave 529 (formerly College Savings Iowa) accounts so they can choose when and how to use the awards.
About the Opportunity
Ninth- to 12th-grade students who are residents of Iowa are eligible for this scholarship program from ISL Education Lending.
Qualification and registration is easy. Your students simply:
- Visit www.IowaStudentLoan.org/Enter to register by April 3, 2026.
- Provide basic contact information for themselves and their parents or guardians.
After registering, students may continue to read three quick college planning and financing tips and answer a multiple choice question for each.
For the remainder of the scholarship period, registered students receive emailed information on college planning and financing.
Forty-five winners will be drawn from eligible high school, college and parent entries in December. Each winner will receive a $1,000 deposit into an ISave 529 account.
Additional Chances to Win
Each student may enter themselves only once per program period, but a parent or guardian, or another adult who holds an ISave 529 account naming the student as a beneficiary, can enter on their student’s behalf once per program period.
Those who registered last year and remain eligible are encouraged to participate again.

Iowa’s Educational Savings Account (ESA) Families (All Iowa Residents)
ESA for 2026-2027 – The State of Iowa uses a program called Odyssey for processing all ESA information. For the 2026-2027 school year, all families that reside in Iowa will be eligible for this tuition assistance.
- All Iowa families will need to apply and follow all steps and meet all deadlines in the Odyssey website to be approved. The website is https://educate.iowa.gov/pk-12/educational-choice/education-savings-accounts
- The ESA application for the 26-27 school year is not currently open. Families will receive communication from SCCS when it is open.
- ESA funds may be used by approved families to go toward tuition and other qualified education expenses.
- For fall and spring semester, once tuition is entered by the Business Office staff in Odyssey, a parent must go into his/her Odyssey account and approve the tuition for each student so the State will send the funds to SCCS. Odyssey will send an email as a reminder.
