Freshman Retreat – My 6th – Parent Treat Sign Up

Freshman parents, we are looking for donations of plateable desserts (homemade items are a real treat!), and fruit for the Freshman Retreat on Friday, May 6th. Donations can be dropped off in the AHS Front Office on Thursday, May 5th anytime between 7:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., or the morning of Friday, May 6th from 7:15-8:00 a.m. Please label “Freshman Retreat”. If you have a container you would like returned, please remember to label it. If you know what you plan to bring, please put that in the notes on the sign-up. Knight Network Post Prom Meeting

Please consider attending the Knight Network Post Prom Meeting on Wednesday, February 23rd at 7pm in the Assumption Library.

All parents of students grades 9-12 are welcome and encouraged to be a part of this committee. Many hands are needed to pull off a successful event!

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon – May 5th – Parent Sign-Up

Knight Network will be hosting a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, May 5th. We are asking help from Sophomore parents for this event. Knight Network funds will be used to purchase lunch, but we are asking for donations of water and desserts. They can be dropped off in the Assumption Front Office Tuesday, May 4th, between 7:30 and 3:30 or Wednesday morning after 7:30 a.m. Thanks so much for your help and support of our hard-working school employees through the Knight Network parent organization!

2021 Post Prom Volunteers

Are you ready for some fun??? We are ready to get you signed up!!

Volunteer workers are needed to run the games, deal the cards, and serve the food.  Volunteers should plan to arrive by 10:30 PM.  Doors open at 10:30 PM and clean up ends around 1:30 AM.  Volunteers are welcome to stay for the entertainer, Christopher Carter a “mentalist,” which will begin at 1:00 AM.  If you are not into the late-night thing but would like to volunteer, we will need help with set up on Friday evening at 5:00 PM (meet in the AHS big gym).  If you have any questions about the evening or want to volunteer and the slots are full, please contact Shelli Miller at shelli.miller@assumptionhigh.org or 563-326-5313, ext. 200.

2021 Post Prom Donations

Each year the Assumption HS parents host a Post Prom party for all junior and senior students. It is a fun, substance free evening which allows students to continue their prom celebration in a supervised environment. Post Prom will be held in the AHS gym from 11:00 PM to approximately 2:30 AM on May 1st-2nd.

By signing up you will be assisting in making this a memorable event for the students. Some gift cards will be used to purchase food items that evening, and the rest will be used for prizes. Cards must be dropped off in the Front Office by 3:00 PM on Friday, April 30th. Food items can be dropped off Friday, April 30th either in the Front Office between 7:30am and 3:00pm or during set-up Friday night between 5:00 and 6:00 pm in the large gym. Those volunteering to also assist in person at the Post Prom event can bring food donations with them to the large gym between 10:30 and 11:00pm on Saturday, May 1st. Parent Volunteers Needed

As we approach the end of this school year, plans for end-of-year activities are taking shape.  In particular, our Knight Network Parent Organization has traditionally taken the lead on organizing our (11th and 12th grade) Post Prom event.  We are looking forward to hosting this event beginning on Saturday, May 1st, at 11pm, and ending on Sunday, May 2nd, at 2:30am in the large gym.  Parents of AHS students (any grade level) who are interested in being a part of this year’s Post Prom Committee, please email or call Shelli Miller at shelli.miller@assumptionhigh.org (563-326-5313 x 200).  Thanks so much for your interest in supporting this fun event for our students!
