JFK Pumpkin Run

JFK is preparing for our annual fall fest (Pumpkin Run) on October 20th, and would like to extend an invite to any Assumption student that would like to earn a few service hours by volunteering at the event.

They have an online volunteer sign up at http://signupgenius.com/go/20f0c48abaf2da0ff2-pumpkin

They also have positions available for the Haunted House setup that are not advertised online. This will take place on Thursday evening, October 19th and is perfect for hard workers that don’t mind getting a little sweaty and dirty. This usually begins around 6 or 7 PM but they will let you know the exact time as it gets closer. They will also need a few more hard workers to help tear it all down at the end of the night.  (This position is advertised in the online signup page.)

If you have any questions, please contact Andrea Schuster at:  call/text (563) 343-4319 or  alspjs04@yahoo.com

April Knight 2018 Class Gift Parties

Freshman, Sophomore, Junior & Senior Class Parent Fundraiser Parties need a home and a date.  This is an opportunity to meet other parents of your student and reacquaint with those you know in a low-key, social fun setting.  Great food is always a key part of this evening, as well as, your favorite adult beverages.  Fall is an optimal time for this to happen.  Your suggested donation to attend raises funds for a class gift to April Knight 2018.  Hosts provide beverages or food and additional dollars.  Questions/Interested?  Please contact Susie Foster at susie.foster@assumptionhigh.orgor 563-326-5313 x 281.  Thank you!

Assumption Foundation Grows Membership

In recent months, the Assumption Foundation has added several new members, welcoming accomplished Assumption alumni, current/past parents, and members of local parishes.

The collaboration between the experience of seasoned members, and the fresh perspective of new members promises to be invaluable. In the upcoming year , The Foundation will be working on forming committees and participating in the strategic plan for Scott County K12 Catholic Schools.

The Assumption Foundation was founded in 1973 to provide endowed support to Assumption High School. In the year just ended, the foundation contributed $80,419 in support of the AHS General Fund budget.

In 2004, the Foundation trust document was amended to include support of Scott County Catholic grade Schools. (This support is provided through distinctly identified and segregated funds.) In the last 12 years, the Foundation has been essential in subsidizing K-12 tuition assistance, employee benefits, and marketing funds for our collective schools since that time. In 2016, the Foundation began coordination of the Father Ken Martin Golf Outing, which benefits the Scott County K-12 emergency tuition assistance program.
