Children’s Show This Weekend!
Come sing about love! Prepare Ye the Way for the Assumption Knight Players Children’s Show, Godspell Jr!
Godspell, the beloved classic from Stephen Schwartz, the Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer of Wicked, retells the greatest story ever told. Enjoy one of the most enduring shows of all time with an eclectic blend of songs ranging in style from pop to vaudeville. Join the celebration of kindness, tolerance, and friendship! Shows are at Assumption’s Sunderbruch Auditorium, 1020 W Central Park Ave, Davenport. Performances are Friday, December 6 at 6:30 PM and Saturday, December 7 at 2 PM and 6:30 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for Children and senior citizens, and $8 for students without an activity pass. Cash and check accepted at the door.

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship
The Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) perpetuates the memory of Jackie Robinson by providing generous four-year scholarships and comprehensive support services to highly motivated college students with financial needs to ensure their success and further develop their leadership potential.
To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:
• Be a graduating, minority high school senior.
• Be a United States citizen.
• Present evidence of financial need.
• Demonstrate a record of academic excellence.
• Demonstrate leadership potential and a dedication to community service.
• Plan to attend an accredited and approved 4-year college/university within the United States or affiliated with a United States-based college or university.
• Have not accrued more than 25% of credits needed to graduate from college.

Boys Wrestling Parent Meeting – November 19th
There will be a Boys Wrestling Parent Meeting held on Tuesday, November 19th at 5:15pm in the cafeteria for all AHS students interested in boys wrestling.
AHS Boys Basketball Tryouts
Assumption Boys Basketball tryouts are scheduled for November 18 and 19 at the following times:
Freshman: 5:30 am-7 am
Sophomores: 7 pm-8:30 pm
Varsity: 3:30 pm-5:30 pm
Service Opportunity for a Veteran Luncheon on November 16th
Please find our Salute to Heroes Luncheon on Nov. 16th. This is a very big luncheon for the holidays with over a 1000 Veterans. We have the largest building on the fairgrounds and it starts at 11. We could use a team to take second shift on food at 12:30 to 3 serving food/drinks and helping Veterans to tables.
Rotary Club of Davenport – Scholastic/Leadership Scholarship
One senior student from Assumption High School will receive this scholarship.

Need-Based: No.
Amount: 4 awards of up to $3,000 a year, for a total of no more than $12,000.
Renewable: Yes, for four years total or until graduation, whichever comes first.
Renewal Conditions: Maintain at least a 2.7 GPA, complete a minimum of 24 credit hours each academic year, and continue to meet other scholarship criteria.
Requirements and selection criteria:
- Applicant must be a graduating senior from Assumption High School, Davenport Central High School, Davenport West High School, or Davenport North High School, or Davenport Mid-City.
- Applicant must have at least a cumulative 2.75 GPA at the end of the junior year.
- Applicant must have shown an interest in college preparatory studies in high school
- Applicant must have been active within the student community.
- An interview is required to be considered for this scholarship.
