Choir Members to sing in Opera Quad Cities Recital

Two Assumption Choir members Geno DelPreore ’25 and Tristen Gray ’25 will be featured soloists in a youth showcase recital with Opera Quad Cities entitled “The Promise of Spring.” The program will take place this Sunday, April 21st at 3:00 pm in the Great Hall at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 121 W. 12th St., Davenport. There will be no charge for admission, but donations will be welcomed at the door. Come support them and other outstanding high school singers from the area!

 

Vocalists see success at IHSMA Solo/Small Ensemble Festival

On March 23rd 22 members of the Assumption Choir participated in the IHSMA Solo/Small Ensemble Festival at Central DeWitt HS. The day was very successful with 6 soloists earning a Division I rating, 3 soloists and a small choir earning a Division II rating, and one soloist earning Division III rating. Congratulations, choir!

AHS Baseball Tryouts

AHS Baseball tryouts information:

Monday, April 29th and Tuesday, April 30th.

Current 8th and 9th grade will tryout from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Current 10th, 11th, and 12th grade will tryout from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Catholic College Scholarship Opportunity

The Christian Connector and CatholicCollegeInfo provides support by offering a variety of free resources as well as a $2,000 annual Catholic college scholarship. By completing our information request form students can conveniently request information from Catholic colleges, and universities – all in one place. It’s like attending a huge Catholic college fair without ever leaving home.

Students who complete our free Catholic college Info form are automatically entered in our $2,000 Catholic College Scholarship drawing. The drawing is open to all students Freshman-Seniors and will be drawn in June, so there’s still time for your students to qualify! Students can fill out the free form by visiting CatholicCollegeInfo.com . All students who request Catholic college information and who are considering a Catholic college are entered.


ESA Sign Up Date for 2024-2025 School Year

With an eye toward the next school year, many of our families are looking forward to enrolling (or re-enrolling) their students’ in Education Savings Accounts (ESAs).  Our latest information indicates that the first opportunity to sign up will be at 8 am on April 16th.  We expect a few changes to the process – which may simplify the enrollment process.  Once we are able to confirm the details, we’ll follow up with another email, so stay tuned!
