Ticket Information for Final Substate Round – Boys Basketball – Feb 26th, 2024
The final substate round will be played at Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids. Please see below for ticket information.
Alliant Energy PowerHouse is required to use their ticketing partner, Ticketmaster. I strongly encourage fans to purchase tickets at the box office to avoid large Ticketmaster fees. Tickets can be purchased online here.
- Tickets are $10 – set by Alliant Energy PowerHouse.
- An online Ticketmaster ticket will be $10 per ticket + $4.05 per ticket service fee + $4.50 per order processing fee.
- A walk-up ticket will be $10.
The box office and concessions will take cash and credit cards.
Street parking is free after 5 p.m. There are also paid parking garages available.

Brian Pearson Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Junior or senior athletes who have previously participated in any Iowa Games events (Summer Iowa Games, Winter Iowa Games, Iowa Games Net Fest, Iowa Games NASP, etc)
Amount: $1000 (awarded to one male and one female)
Deadline: April 1, 2026
American Chemical Society Scholarship
Eligibility: African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian senior with plans to pursue a chemistry related major and career; high achievement in chemistry or science; 3.0 GPA (unweighted)
Amount: $1000 (300 awards)
Deadline: March 1st

April Knight Ladies Luncheon Spring 2024!
Things we never tried before, AHS Annual Ladies Luncheon in spring, 2024! The Ladies Luncheon supporting April Knight will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Outing Club.
Your participation is essential for the success of the event which benefits Assumption Students. Please not only attend the event, but bring a friend or recruit a table. We are asking for a Hostess donation of $125.00 (this includes your lunch.) We would love to have as many hostesses sponsor this effort as possible and will accept hostess payments up to the date of the luncheon. Those hostesses who have responded on or before Friday, February 16th will be named on the printed invites. Thanks so much for your consideration of this leadership level donation!

AHS Boys Soccer Pre-Season Meeting – February 21, 2024
Head Boys Soccer Coach, Chad Hollmer, will hold a pre-season meeting for students who are interested in participating in Boys Soccer this spring at AHS. Please plan to meet in the AHS cafeteria on Wednesday, February 21st, at 6pm.

No School – President’s Day – February 19
There will be no school on Monday, February 19 for Presidents Day.
(We will not need to use this day to make up snow days.)
All Iowa Opportunity Scholarship
The All Iowa Opportunity Scholarship (AIOS) will be accepting applications through March 1st. This scholarship is for high school seniors who will be attending college for the first time in Fall 2025. To be eligible, students must:
- File the FAFA on/before March 1st
- File the Iowa Financial Aid application on/before March 1st
- Graduate from an eligible Iowa high school
- Attend an eligible college or university in Iowa
- Have an eligible Expected Family Contribution (EFC) on the 2026-27 FAFSA.
Students interested in being considered for this award, must apply by April 1st. No late applications are accepted.
