Please see below for some tentative information for those who would be interested in attending a trip to the Capitol. Americans For Prosperity would be sponsoring this trip and would cover the cost of transportation and food.
Tentative details:
March 27, 2024
7:15 am- 6pm
We would encourage students to thank legislators for passing ESAs last year.
Visit would include a tour of the Capitol – along with opportunities to meet legislators, perhaps sit in some of the debates, hearings, or whatever is going on during the day.
Those interested should contact Jennifer Sulgrove at jsulgrove@afphq.org or 563-275-9070.

All tickets will be sold (via cash or check) at the door prior to performances. Sales will begin an hour before showtime for family of cast and crew members
and will open for general admission 45 minutes prior to the start of each show. Seating will be first-come-first-served.
The final substate round will be played at Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids. Please see below for ticket information.
Alliant Energy PowerHouse is required to use their ticketing partner, Ticketmaster. I strongly encourage fans to purchase tickets at the box office to avoid large Ticketmaster fees. Tickets can be purchased online here.
The box office and concessions will take cash and credit cards.
Street parking is free after 5 p.m. There are also paid parking garages available.
