2023 Assumption Cheerleading Kids Clinic
What: 2023 AHS Cheerleading Kids Clinic
Who: For Girls and Boys Grades PreK-8 (Fall ‘22)
Where: Assumption High School Small Gym
When: Wednesday, January 11, 2023
Time: Starts 5:30 p.m./Ends 7:30 p.m.
Performance: Friday, Jan. 13 at halftime of the Assumption Varsity Boys Basketball game vs. Davenport Central. *Arrive by 7:15 p.m. — performance at approx. 8:15 p.m.
Cost: $40. Includes AHS Cheerleading T-Shirt and Cheer Bow.
Deadline: January 7 to guarantee T-shirt. Walk-ins welcome on Jan. 11.

Assumption “Family” Spirit Wear For Sale!
We will begin selling Assumption “Family” spirit wear. We will have t-shirts and sweatshirts in both white and black (photo is just a reference of the product but they are all black and bright white). You can purchase your AHS merch from the front office during normal hours.

Job Opening: Head Girls Golf Coach
Assumption High School is seeking a Head Girls Golf Coach who has successful playing and/or coaching experience and has an Iowa coaching authorization. Back Stage Angel Meeting – Drama Parents
Back Stage Angels are a group of drama parents who take care of many needs of our Assumption Knight Players throughout their season!
Please plan on joining us for a meeting in the AHS Choir Room on November 16th, at 7pm to learn more about ways we can make the season special for our thespians. Our drama directors will be in attendance as well.
Educational Choice Summit
An Educational Choice Summit will be held on Monday, November 14, from 6:30pm-8pm to provide information and discuss choice in education. All private school education supporters are welcomed and encouraged to attend as there are some tremendous opportunities in the upcoming legislative session to advance some very important legislation for our Catholic schools.
Freshman Formal – This Saturday, November 5
We are looking forward to a great Freshman Formal dance this Saturday, November 5, in the AHS Cafeteria from 7pm-10pm!
Assumption Choir All-State Students
On Oct. 22, 6 members of the Assumption Choir auditioned for the 76th Annual Iowa All-State Chorus. Two singers were then selected as alternates for their section: Katelyn O’Brien ’25, alto and Tristen Gray ’25 bass. Congratulations to all of the students on their hard work and dedication over the last three months!
