What’s Happening at AHS

Information Knight – Wednesday, April 24th

All families interested in learning about everything AHS has to offer are encouraged to attend the Information Knight Session on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 5:30-6:30 PM in the AHS Tech Lab.

This is an informative session for parents to learn about academic offerings and financial aid options.  Assumption High School offers a challenging curriculum designed to give students a solid foundation in preparation for life beyond high school.  Please join us to learn more!

Any K-8 student in attendance will be partnered with a group of AHS Student Ambassadors for a variety of activities and a tour of the school!  Please park in the main student entrance.  There will be AHS Student Ambassadors showing families to the Tech Lab.  Contact Kris Thomas, AHS Director of Admissions, with questions:  (563) 326-5313 ext. 230 or kris.thomas@assumptionhigh.org.

Encourage Senators to Increase School Tuition Tax Credits!

We Need Your Help! Encourage Senators
to Increase School Tuition Tax Credits!

Please take action today in support of our School Tuition Organizations!

We believe all parents deserve educational choices that reflect their basic convictions and aspirations for their child. Iowa’s School Tuition Organization tax credits help raise private scholarship funds for students to attend a Catholic or other nonpublic school, enabling parents to choose the school that best fits their child’s learning needs.

Currently, there are bills moving in the Iowa Legislature that include an increase in the STO tax credits among many other provisions. Please contact your local legislator to voice your support of school choice in Iowa through the link below! We encourage you to use your own words and add your personal story to the suggested messages.

Don’t delay – contact your legislator today by clicking the link below. Thank you for your help and please don’t hesitate to share this alert with others!

If any one is willing to host NET members next week (Monday and Tuesday night) please let me know as soon as possible. They will get in Monday night and leave Wednesday after the second retreat.

Thank you!
